RF Speed and Machine was founded in July of 2015 by Rick Fred after the legendary Bob Cronin of CRD Engine Development passed away. Bob was Rick’s mentor for almost 10 years which allowed him to learn from one of the greatest engine builders in the racing industry.  His hunger to learn has allowed him to diversify his experience into many of the major competitive engines including GM, Audi, BMW, Nissan, Scion/Subaru, SRT Viper and Ford.  Rick’s knowledge, skills, work ethic, experience and passion for the racing community enabled him to start his own company.

Rick has been a key part of many racing successes.
